Minasoko is published by Nodera LLC, in Tokyo,
Japan.
It collects no personal data. It has no network code of its own and its game engine's online
services are switched off, so nothing is sent to us. It has no purchases, no account and no
advertising.
What is stored
Nothing about you. On your device, Minasoko keeps the state of your tank — the water,
the plants, the fish and what has happened in it — so that it can carry on where it left off,
and whether you last switched the tank's lamp on or off by hand. To keep the tank living while the
app is closed, it reads the device's clock, and the tank's saved state includes the time it was last
brought up to date, so that it can work out how long you were away. It saves no identifier and asks
for no name, email, or sign-in.
None of this is sent to us. Like any app's data, iOS may include it in your device's backups,
depending on your backup settings. Deleting the app removes it from the device, but not from
backups you have already made.
Keeping and deleting
Nothing from the app reaches us, so there is nothing of the app's on our side to keep or erase,
and we cannot see, recover or delete your tank for you. Deleting the app removes everything it put
on the device, the tank included.
What is not collected
No analytics. No advertising and no advertising identifier. No crash or performance reporting
of its own. No location, no microphone, no camera, no contacts, no photos: the app asks the system
for nothing but the screen and touch.
One thing does not come from Minasoko: if you have turned on iOS's own Share
with App Developers setting, Apple may pass us crash logs from the apps you use, this one
included. That is Apple's mechanism and your setting — Minasoko neither collects them nor can
switch it on.
In App Store terms, this is Data Not Collected.
Beta testing
If you test Minasoko through TestFlight, Apple's TestFlight service handles your invitation,
any feedback or screenshots you choose to send, and may also pass us crash reports from the test
build. That is covered by Apple's own terms; the app itself still collects nothing.
This website
Minasoko itself never contacts a server. This website does, as every website does:
our server writes a line for each request it answers — the time, the page asked for, your IP
address, the page you came from, and what your browser reports about itself, such as its name and
language. From the IP address we look up the country, region, and network it belongs to.
We use these lines to count how many people find this website and where they come from, and to
find the cause when something goes wrong. They are kept on our own servers, with a backup copy in
cloud storage, until we delete them. We do not sell or share them, and we do not join them with
anything else.
The pages set no cookies, store nothing in your browser, and load nothing from anyone else.
Links out
The app holds two links, behind the small i in the corner: this privacy policy and the
support page. Tapping one opens it in your browser, and from then on it is a visit to this website,
as described above.
Children
Minasoko collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Japan.
Changes
If a future version of Minasoko ever collects anything, this page will say so before that
version ships, and the date below will change.
Contact
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, and use
them only to reply. This is separate from the app, which sends nothing.
